Today was early release day so I set up my “studio” this morning waiting for Dylan to come home. Last time I took photos of him was back in early October.
2012 had a rough start. Dylan broke his leg ice skating 2 days before New Years. He’s been in a cast for 5 weeks now and 4 more weeks to go. But on Friday, he will get this full cast off and get a half cast. He will be able to move around much easier and be able to put some weight on the leg.
I know I’m his mom, so I think he’s great. But he really is. Dylan’s been in a wheel chair at school. Can’t go outside to recess. Can’t go use the restroom by himself. I know it bothers him, but he stays strong and doesn’t let all this bring him down. He still laughs, has fun with his friends, and continues to bring smiles to everyone around him. He is amazing!
5 weeks ago, I had no idea how we’d get through all this. But thanks to the support of our great friends, family, and neighbors, we are half way through this episode in life. Thank goodness!
Well, here we go, some pictures of Dylan: For Valentine’s Day. His favorite Star Wars book. Loves’em Oreos and root beer floats. A photo of his get well cards.
And this week starts the Year of the Dragon. Happy Chinese New Years friends!
