Hi. I'm Kathie. That's me on the right, with my hubby and kiddo. Lyndon and I met in high school in Houston... and that sure was a long, long time ago. We went to the University of Texas together, then decided to make Austin our home. Our kid is now 5 years old. He's a rock star! He is the energizer bunny that never stops, full of fun and laughter, but tons of attitude to go along with it too.

My interest in photography started years ago. My first big "assignment" was taking pictures of everything I saw on our honeymoon with my first 35mm. We went from Rome to London in 3 weeks and saw places I only read about in history books. I came home with 23 rolls of film.

After Dylan was born, I got a DSLR... just so I can document every single one of his expressions. I followed him around with a camera and every time the shutter clicked, I captured a moment and I saved it forever.

When I was growing up, I wanted to be a news anchor. I wanted to tell stories and give the world my perspective on things. But I ended up with a career in tech, which was fine, but not exactly what I had in mind. It's funny how life worked out. Now as a photographer, I get to tell my story, from my perspective, and with style!

There is no better job in the world than being a mom, but being a photographer is a very close second.
